At the height of Felstad's power, the race of animal hybrids known as gnolls were bred by the Beastcrafters for their strength and durability, and sold as slaves, gladiators, and soldiers. It is unsurprising that many gnolls survived the cataclysm that destroyed the city, scavenging, hunting, and warring in their underground warrens.
